Özet
Management of disputes is one of the most important processes that determine the performance of a construction project, and successful management of disputes depends highly on a well understanding of the factors influencing the occurance of disputes. Although the topic of dispute resolution has been widely discussed in the literature, few studies have been conducted with respect to the identification of the interrelations between disputes and project factors based on empirical data. In this study, an analysis is made of quantitative data obtained from a survey with fifty project managers who are working in on-going projects in Turkey. The findings reveal the interrelations between frequency of disputes and thirteen factors regarding the project, project manager and the upper management.
