Özet

Nano-crystalline iron particles were prepared by combination of Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis and Hydrogen Reduction method using aqueous solution of iron (II) chloride tetrahydrate (FeCl2 ·4H2O). Dependence of particle size, morphology, and crystalline size on the solution concentration and the reaction temperature were investigated. The size and morphology of particles were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). X-ray diffraction (XRD) was also used to determine the crystal structure and sizes of iron particles. Chemical content of the particles were controlled by energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). Spherical nano-crystalline iron powders with crystallite sizes between 23 and 33 nm were obtained under the different reaction temperatures (600 - 1000°C) and solution concentrations (0.08 - 0.2 M).
