Özet
This study presents a novel broadband multi-mode circular patch antenna that incorporates loading shorting pins to enhance its operational capabilities. This innovative antenna has been meticulously developed to function through the excitation of various modes, thereby expanding its potential applications in modern communication systems. The structural design of the antenna comprises a circular patch, complemented by strategically positioned shorting pins, which have been specifically modified to facilitate the generation of diverse Transverse Magnetic (TM) modes. This modification allows for the achievement of distinct surface current distributions and corresponding radiation patterns. According to the simulation results obtained from comprehensive analyses, the half-power beamwidth of the antenna in the vertical plane exhibits a range of variation, specifically between 106 degrees and 110 degrees across the specified frequency band. Furthermore, owing to its ability to operate in multiple modes, the realized gain of the antenna showcases a notable variability, ranging from 2.44 dBi to 3.79 dBi. These findings underscore the antenna's potential for versatility in performance, making it a promising candidate for future wireless communication applications.
