Özet
This paper focuses on the physical properties of a series of plain jersey and lacoste fabrics made of cotton carded ring spun yarns. The yarns used play a large part in determining the dimensions and behaviour of the fabrics. Moreover, single piqué fabrics are dimensionally more stable than double piqué knits. It is also apparent that ring spun yarn with a high twist factor gives a higher relaxation shrinkage. They also tend to be stronger, which results in higher bursting strenght, less pilling and a higher abrasion resistance.
