Özet
Switched Reluctance Motors (SRM) are known more than hundred years but their rippled torque, acoustic noise and difficulties for controlling made them to fall behind from alternative motors throughout the history. Improvements about semiconductors area made possible to make SRM drive circuits more available, cheaper and easier to build and in recent years SRMs gained great importance. This paper aims the design of 1.5 kW SRM with popular structures as 6/4 and 8/6 stator/rotor combinations and give an analyze of their characteristics in terms of current profiles, torque outputs, power and torque densities and magnetic field profiles with the help of Finite Element Method (FEM). Also a brief comparison is given for the designed motors according to results.
