Abstract

In this paper, the design and implementation of high power factor SEPIC LED driver which is containing a diode rectifier are studied. SEPIC converter is operated at 88 kHz switching frequency both for voltage gain performance and input current modulation. Furthermore, the required inductors for converter operation are manufactured as coupled. The design solution is realized by using integrated circuits that can be found in market easily and cheaply. As the loading set, six power LEDs having approximately 6 W power that are connected in two parallel branches are used. The harmonic content of supply voltage, current and voltage waveforms of AC mains and power LEDs are shown. Furthermore, the compatibility of input current harmonic spectrum to IEC 61000-3-2 standard is also examined.
