Tunable continuous-wave 2.3-μm Tm3+:KY3F10 laser upconversion pumped with an ytterbium fiber laser

Abstract

We report a 2.3-μm Tm3+:KY3F10 laser, which can be excited via upconversion pumping with a 1064-nm ytterbium fiber laser, leading to tunable operation from 2268 to 2373 nm with absorbed power slope efficiency of 32%.
