Abstract
Tufted carpets account for 20% of all textile floorcoverings used in Turkey. This article (based on a research paper) looks at capacities, consumption, machine models, imports, raw materials and technical specifications. Data from six producers were used: Dinarsu, Elsan, Gumussuyu, Haliser, Mekik Hali and Samur. These six have a combined total of 41 tufting machines running in their plants.
