Abstract
In this study, a traffic light information system based on DSRC protocol stack was designed for vehicles approaching the junction by taking an intersection model for highways. The content of the message to be broadcasted from the roadside unit in the intersection model is proposed. In the proposed message, the signal phase and time (SPAT) message is improved from the message sets in the SAE J2735 standard dictionary and adapted for the proposed intersystem model with the map message. As the performance analysis of the proposed system, the packet delivery rate, the probability of being a hidden terminal, the delivery rate of the packet delivery ratio by adding hidden terminal account are calculated.
