Abstract

Combinations of two frequency pulses for NQR detection of explosives have been investigated. For the nuclear quadrupole system of 14N nuclei with spin I = 1 we show that by this means it is possible to change the signal intensity of the transition detected. Theoretical and experimental studies of multiple-frequency sequences show that the proposed two-frequency sequences have considerable potential in the application of NQR for the detection of various materials.
