N2 - The relations between green energy-based sustainability and global stability are investigated, with a focus on the role of green energy in achieving sustainable development and global stability. Considering global unrest, global stability, green energy impact ratio and green energy-based sustainability ratio, a parametric study is performed using actual data from the literature. Some illustrative examples are presented and discussed. The results indicate that the negative effects on industrial, technological, sectoral and social development partially or completely decrease through use of green energy and technologies. To increase the green energy-based sustainability ratio and to reduce global unrest levels, the utilization of fossil fuels should be limited or reduced, and a transition to green energy-based technologies should be accelerated. This includes having governments and other authorities encourage investments in green energy and replacements of fossil fuels with more environmentally benign ones.
