Abstract

In this paper, an efficient power system modeling technique by utilizing the concept of multi-terminal component is introduced. The proposed technique is based on gathering the same phase busses and elements as a separate group (phase grouping technique) and uses multi-terminal components to model three-phase power system. Using multi-terminal component and phase grouping technique (PGT), power system elements particularly lines and transformer can effectively be modeled.
