Abstract

In this study, small vertical structures on the cortex, which are considered to be the basic units of sensory and motor information process known as cortical columns, have been investigated. In this context, a mass model, called Jansen's cortical column model, is implemented in the MATLAB programming language. Based on the results obtained, the existence of some brain activities during epilepsy seizure and alpha-wave have been examined.
