Abstract

Textile is the oldest sector due to the necessity of dressing, which is the most basic need of mankind, and has shown great development with its wide range of applications over time. The textile industry has an important place in the world trade and production as much as it is in our country. Work accidents increase with the increase in production and competition, and the risks to the health of workers and occcupational safety are increasing. Textile sector has an important place in terms of the number of work accidents in our country. In this study, between the years 2007-2016 work accidents occurred in Turkey and work accidents in the textile sector data were examined and analyzed. Besides, Turkey textile sector accidents at work were compared with data from member countries of the European Union.
