Abstract

Ketoaldehydes which are formed in situ by the rearrangement of α,aα-Bishydroxymethyl-2-butanone in acidic medium, reacted with 2-naphthol. New dinaphtho[2,1-d,g][1,3] dioxocin derivatives were synthesized.
