Abstract
Metal-free 3 and metallophthalocyanines 4, 5 (M = Zn, Co) having diethylaminoethylsulfanyl substituents on peripheral positions were prepared. Quaternization of 4, 5 produced cationic metallophthalocyanines soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. Zinc(II) and Co(II) phthalocyanines reacted with palladium(II) salt to form complexes with a phthalocyanine/metal ratio of 1:4. The new compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV-Vis, mass, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopies.
