Abstract
This study develops and analyses the design and implementation of a brushless DC (BLDC) motor-based steering control system for an electric boat. The suggested method combines a gearbox with a specially made control circuit to provide accurate and efficient rudder positioning. A closed loop method is utilized to control motor position within a range of ±90° using feedback from a potentiometer. A closed loop control system is provided by the suggested system. The suggested steering control design offers a rapid dynamic reaction and improved energy efficiency, according to experimental validation. This helps in the creation of small, environmentally friendly, and sustainable propulsion systems for electric boats.
