Abstract
The study of the static behavior and forced oscillations of a rigid circular plate supported by a tensionless Winkler elastic foundation was carried out. When a partial contact took place due to the tensionless nature of the foundation, the governing equations and consequently the behaviour of the plate were found to be nonlinear. The static configuration of the plate was evaluated as a special case. It was seen that the lift-off has a significant effect on the motion of the plate.
