Abstract

Zirconium oxide mixed vanadium oxide thin films have been prepared by spin coating techniques. The effect of heat treatment on the optical and structural properties of the films has been studied. The optical, structural and electrochromic properties of the films are described and compared to each other. Results are presented on the zirconium mixed vanadium oxide samples prepared in the range of 0-100 vol. %. Electrochemical and optical characterizations show that the zirconium concentration affects the properties of sol-gel derived films significantly.
