Abstract

This study deals with the simulation of power electronic circuits by using VisSim software. Since the governing equations and functions can be represented in blocks, simulation method is simple and versatile. The VisSim models of single and three-phase rectifiers, PWM choppers and inverters, AC choppers, SMPS networks, are developed and performance waveforms are obtained. The turn on and turn off behaviors of the semiconductor switches are not covered. This study would be useful for obtaining a quick solution for, power electronic networks and for more complex systems containing power electronic circuits.
