Abstract

In this paper, the vespertilian echolocation calls emitted for orientation and hunting are recorded and analyzed. Extracting acoustic complexity and the power ratio indices from lengthy audio records taken around Istanbul Technical University pond, we develop a simple method to detect the time intervals containing bat echolocation calls. The Python code of this method is shared on GitHub for readers' use.
