Abstract

Cultural events are generally employed to manage sustainable tourism development. But it is not possible to exactly determine the impact of the events on sustainable development. In order to fulfil this point, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based tracking framework is proposed. The intensity of visits to the locations (museums, exhibitions, squares) by the event participants are used to represent the impact. RFID based tracking system aims to determine the visit intensity automatically. The information gathered from the system can be used for event financing decisions and renewals about the events. In this study RFID Based Actions Tracking Framework is introduced and basic design parameters and technology selection criteria are identified.
