Abstract

Residues from plastics make environmental pollution because of the toxic gases such as hydrogen chloride expose through burning of plastics especially PVC. Unfortunately 2.4% of plastics have been recycled all around the world. All these negative facts plastics necessitate new techniques for recycling and also selective separation of plastics. The most useful of these techniques is froth flotation method by using plastic's naturally hydrophobic characteristics. This study reported that flotation conditions were determined for separation PET from PVC with the results of 99.5% recovery.
