Abstract
The Raster-based GIS routing model has been developed for pipeline construction. It prevent pipeline from becoming an economic burden by minimizing economic cost, environmental, and social costs of any new project. It showed in a scientific research study that the raster-based methods are more effective addressing the surface routing problems compared to vector-based networks because surface routing is performed as cell-to-cell connection.
