Abstract

Quality has become the latest trend in healthcare all around the world. It is known that there is not much left to do for manufacturing when quality is the concern. Most of the industries has set their quality standards, set their quality strategies, and are competing globally. They are also aware that without quality they will not be able to survive much in the global arena. They learned the importance of continuous improvement. And if not applied, they will not survive much. On the other hand, it can be said that healthcare is not that much involved in the quality issue yet. There are many healthcare organizations, clinics, physicians, and staff struggling and fighting for the adaptation of quality in their environment. At the same time, there are also others who believe in that there is no need for change and that quality is just a new fancy thing which will vanish soon. This chapter is aiming to give an awareness to physicians and healthcare professionals on what is quality and what benefits it can bring to their healthcare organization.
