Abstract
The era of Industry 4.0 has opened new opportunities to improve operational efficiency, develop new business model, and improve customer experience. Manufacturing organizations concentrate on creating value through Industry 4.0 realization, but many of them have serious problems while they are at the beginning of the journey. Literature reviews show that many studies have focused just only on maturity models, readiness assessments rather than a holistic procedure model to achieve a successful transformation from start to end. In this article we focus on developing a procedure model enabling manufacturing organizations to define their objectives, needs, and challenges to analyze their current maturity level to prioritize their needs and to develop implementation road maps. Our model builds on maturity assessment that aims to evaluate operations improvement in manufacturing. The developed model is tested and validated at a company operating in white goods industry.
