Abstract

With the adoption of new generation technologies, developments in quality management, which is an integral part of Industry 4.0, are increasing rapidly. The digitalization process in quality management provides significant advantages for enterprises with both an increase in performance and a reduction in costs. Digital quality management, which includes technologies that change the ways enterprises develop, manage and protect their quality standards, integrates new technologies into traditional systems and thus manages the quality by providing continuous improvement and improving overall business performance. For organizations to start and continue digitalization in their quality management, they should take into account many factors and be able to manage them correctly. For this aim, the factors that will ensure digitalization in the quality management of organizations should be evaluated and prioritized at the same time. In this study, the factors that provide digitalization in quality management are prioritized by using the best-worst method (BWM), which is one of the multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods. After the criteria are first determined by a comprehensive literature review and expert opinions, the best-worst method based on interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets is used to prioritize the related factors enabling the digitization in quality management to better address the uncertainty in decision makers’ opinions.
