Abstract

The characterization and synthesis of AB-type block copolymers containing poly-(2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide) (PPO) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) blocks was presented. A sample of block copolymers containing styrene (ST) segments and PPO were achieved. PPO oligomers with halogen end groups were used as macroinitiators for ATRP. Gel permeation chromatographic analysis was done with a setup consisting of the Agilent pump and refractive-index detector and three Waters Styragel columns.
