Abstract

In this paper, it is shown that backscattering of ultrasound signal in tissue can be modeled by a power-law function with a scaling exponent γ. Experimental results have yielded evidence of power-law property of scattering. This scaling signature suggests the complexity of the underlying ultrasound and tissue interaction.
