Use of pyrite cinder which is a by product of sulfuric acid processes as filler in bituminous mixtures was considered besides the limestone dust and Portland Cement origin fillers. Marshall samples have been prepared in accordance with the technical specifications. Also they have been photographed by electron microscopy method and their chemical structure have been investigated by energy dispersive X-ray analysis. It has been concluded that Pyrite Cinder which is an industrial by-product and gravely environmental pollutant can be used in flexible pavements as filler just any other ordinary fillers.
