Abstract

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE: In this study, designing and producing a textile fibre which can generate electricity from sun light by using polymers and inverted type of solar cells model. Photovoltaic effect is developed on polyester filaments. The photovoltaic fibres, which are produced using easier techniques and materials compared to silicon based solar cells, are used to produce yarns and fabrics. The photovoltaic fibres can be also integrated into fabrics or clothes.
