Abstract
The performances of coatings of various zeolites, such as NaA, NaX, LiX, NaY and SAPO-34, were investigated for use in adsorption heating/cooling systems. A mathematical model was utilized for this purpose and power values were calculated for distinct operating conditions. The experimental preparation of the zeolite coatings was also revealed. Optimum coating thicknesses were determined to exist for all the zeolites. Water diffusivity, water sorption capacity and regeneration temperature were observed to affect the results obtained.
