Abstract

The physical properties of lyocell blend yarns and knitted fabrics made from them are investigated. The results confirm that the strength of lyocell yarn is high and retains most of its strength when wet, with a wet tenacity higher than cotton. Lyocell blend yarns also retain the instrinsic properties of lyocell. Bursting strength of lyocell and lyocell blend knits are high but abrasion resistance is lower than cotton and viscose knits.
