Abstract

The effect of the basic process parameters on the final count and breaking load of chainette yarns is studied. An expression relating take-up ratio, count of the yarn fed and number of the needles to the final count of chainette yarns is derived. The effect of these parameters on breaking load of chainette yarns is also discussed.
