Abstract
Sizing of an air-cooled heat exchanger to balance air and liquid heat-transfer properties according to the temperature requirements is discussed. It is observed that it is possible to find the optimum size of any heat exchanger by making required changes in the code according to the type of heat exchangers. The design of optimum heat exchanger involves a large number of parameters to be optimized. It also necessited the finding of an optimum design by the traditional trail and error method.
