Abstract

A novel method for the scattering of electromagnetic waves from arbitrary cylindrical bodies beneath a rough surface is investigated. The method is based on the solution of a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind which includes the Green function of the two-part space with rough interface. By assuming the roughness of the surface as buried bodies in a two-part space with a planar boundary, the Green function of the actual medium is obtained by solving the related integral equation. Numerical simulations are carried out to validate the new formulation and to investigate the effects of some parameters.
