Abstract

A new approach to the design of nonuniform transmission line impedance matching sections in a passband is shown. A new global hybrid optimization strategy, involving the combination of simulated annealing and Hooke-Jeeves algorithms has been developed and applied to the synthesis of parabolic tapered line impedance matching section in the passband. The method is broadly appropriate for the synthesis of any kind nonuniform impedance matching line sections and other microwave circuits.
