Abstract

We compare our Monte Carlo calculations with recent measurements of electron-positron pairs created by collisions of fully stripped 6.4-TeV sulfur ions (γ^T = 212) and 33-TeV led ions (γ^T = 168) with Al, Pd and Au targets. In this experiments, the target-charge dependence for the sulfur projectile is Z^1.99±0.02_p and for the lead projectile is Z^2.03±0.03_p. These are in very good agreement with perturbative results.
