Modified log-domain oscillator for chaos

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

A new chaotic oscillator with double-scroll dynamics based on an existing log-domain oscillator is presented. The circuit does not employ any PNP transistors hence it can be implemented in cheap bipolar processes, which do not offer high-quality vertical PNPs. Furthermore, the circuit operates in current-mode and thus is well suited for integrated circuit implementation. The oscillator also enjoys the possibility of electronic control of the important system parameters. Experimental result verifying the feasibility of the circuit is given.
