Modelling and simulation of gas turbines used for electrical energy generation

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

Modelling of load controllers, load-frequency controllers, speed controllers and temperature controllers which are important for controlling of gas turbines is necessary for understanding the effects of gas turbines on power network. Investigation of which mathematical models of gas turbines can be used for analysis about power network and advantages of these models to each other are included in this work. Timevarying (much variable), complex and dynamic performance of the gas turbines is simulated using Simulink toolbox in MATLAB software of Mathworks Inc. Using the simulation programme, changing of output power of gas turbine in response to changing of input parameters is investigated.
