Abstract
Due to the increase in the penetration of renewable energy sources in the Electricity Distribution systems, the idea of connecting a storage system to the distribution systems to provide stable electrical energy is becoming widespread. At this point, Battery Electricity Storage Systems (BEDS) has emerged as an important option. In this study, Mobile Battery Electricity Storage Systems (MBEDS), which have features such as providing island operation of the distribution system, responding to faults in a short time, being able to move to desired areas and temporarily functioning as a buffer, have been introduced and their effect on distribution system has been investigated. Various scenarios with different battery positions and different short circuit types are produced in the study using IEEE 13-bus test system. Simulation studies were carried out on the sample system for different scenario types and the effect of the battery system operating mode was examined.
