Abstract

In this study, a low-cost, light-weight side-looking radar system mounted on a mini drone was used to obtain range profiles of ground-based targets using the Synthetic Aperture Radar Strip-map mode configuration. Simulated and real data SAR images are obtained using Range Migration and Backprojection algorithms, and the performances of the algorithms in SAR imaging with drone-borne radar system are discussed.
