Abstract

In this work, the millimeter-wave (mm-wave) channel modeling for rural areas is investigated by using the raytracing method. Firstly, the basics and important sides of the channel are investigated. Then, both statistical and probabilistic models used in channel modeling are briefly explained. Finally, a channel model is simulated using different scenarios on the Matlab program. It has been observed that the distribution approaches probabilistic models such as Rayleigh and concluded that the ray-tracing method provides a good deterministic approximation for the channel while compromising computational cost.
