Abstract

The design of the signal system is very important in order to achieve feasibility values and to provide adequate performance in rail transportation systems. The signaling system is designed to comply with the highest safety requirements such as SIL4 (Safety Integrity Level) according to European standard CENELEC. It is carried out with an uninterrupted exchange of information between the on-board system and the equipment to guide the operations for the enterprise. When designing the signaling system, the life of the system is determined as minimum 30 years. Signaling system is used to control train movement and to ensure train safety. In this study, simulation of multi-vehicle signalization system with the help of matlab / simulink and the design of the train timetable were performed. For the study, the results obtained by simulating the signal system using the data of a rail system line were evaluated on the graphs. With the help of simulation, train overlap analysis is performed together with the frequency of travel analysis to increase the performance and efficiency of the signal system.
