Abstract

Industry 4.0 has produced a new concept for companies with changing production processes and business models. Technical advances increase productivity, flexibility, production speed, mass customization, resulting in higher quality and productivity for businesses. An important factor in the implementation of Industry 4.0 is data collection and analysis for real-time decision making, so that the company becomes more flexible and improves its processes based on the evaluation of snapshot data, thereby optimizing production. Competitiveness in the market has created new challenges, prompting companies to seek fundamental solutions in quality, performance and agility in their processes and products, so the manufacturing execution system (MES) has become indispensable to assist them in this process. The system brings together the company's planning and production, providing access to information displayed in graphs, allowing monitoring and analysis of production, product and equipment status, enabling monitoring of usage, minimizing idle time. The MES function is to manage resources, improve equipment utilization through data trending and historical analysis. Industry 4.0 has brought advanced information and communication systems to companies, but to implement them also requires efficient processing of processes. This study focuses on the development and implementation of a production execution system using the Python programming language, open source hardware and software, enabling industry 4.0. The data to be obtained will be processed in a compiler environment, and the efficiency and efficiency of the existing equipment will be calculated and these values will be reflected on the screen with an interface.
