Abstract

In many markets today the question of logistics and delivery performance plays a key role in competitiveness besides product quality, price and customer service in general. This contribution describes typical applications with the method of data envelopment analysis (DEA) for two case studies from the logistics business: One regarding a special truck manufacturer based in Germany delivering products to retail partners in Belgium, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland; and another for companies in Turkey transporting dangerous goods.
