Abstract

Accurately planning the aircraft trajectory is of utmost importance in the scope of 4D trajectory prediction, which is, in turn, the main component in satisfying the requirements of the SESAR and NextGen scopes of future ATM. In this work, it is aimed to enhance the aircraft trajectory prediction through improving the fuel consumption model using an Artificial neural network (ANN). utilizing the proposed model with a selection of appropriate parameters would result in better model performance compared to the most advanced and reliable trajectory predictors such as BADA family 4.
