Abstract
Through this work, six most known Classic Turkish Music Makams (CTM) were classified by using Deep Belief Networks (DBN). The Mel and delta-Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) were used as features. The best correct recognition ratio was obtained as 92.70% by using Deep Belief Networks and Mel frequency epstral coefficients. This result is better than the recent works reported in the literature.
