Abstract
Next generation communication technologies aim to offer users high data rate in every environment. Especially in metropols, drone-cells are ideal to use in order to gain from path loss and going to be a part of heterogeneous networks in 5G and beyond. Through drone cells, service quality and network capacity will be improved in the fields with high amount of users. Due to their high mobility, drone base stations can be easily deployed with different order and algorithms in the field. In this work, machine learning techniques, namely k-means and Gaussian mixture models, are used to compare the performances of user equipments. Using the same spectrum by multiple cells including drone base stations creates interference problems in their coverage areas. With the joint transmission coordinated multipoint (JT-CoMP) technique introduced by 3GPP to mitigate interference, it is aimed to improve the performance of cell edge users and increase the capacity for them.
