Abstract

The joint assignment of subcarriers and limite transmission power is addressed as a combinatorial optimizatio problem in orthogonal frequency division multiple access networks To ensure fairness among users while jointly minimizin the total transmit power, the minimization of the number o outage subcarriers is considered as the objective function. Th proposed scheme enables distinct rate requirement for eac user. Optimal and reduced complexity algorithms, based on th application of Hungarian method to randomly weighted complet bipartite graphs, that reduce the outage probability according t the benchmark works while providing considerable power saving are proposed.
